Abelard Underwriting Agency was established by Dave Cox in 1996. Our initial focus was on the provision of Personal Accident / Stated Benefits and Medical Expenses Top Up cover.

In 1998 Clive Norrington, and shortly thereafter Craig Diederiks, joined the ranks of the management of Abelard Underwriting Agency bringing with them expert knowledge in liability and motor insurance and consequently extending our portfolio of covers, which included the provision of insurance specifically geared to the security industry.

Notwithstanding our concentration on specialist markets, over the years Abelard Underwriting Agency has been fortunate to obtain the opportunity to underwrite various classes of insurance including:

• Event Organisers Liability
• Professional Indemnity

With the increased number of products being offered by the Agency, our staff compliment has grown to a team in excess of 20 underwriting, claims and support staff who share in our commitment to service excellence and whose insurance expertise and experience and extensive knowledge of risk management have added immense value to the products and services being provided.
